The Held Retreat
Bali: 21-26 June, 2026
Making beauty from what's broken your heart
Are you ready to feel truly held?
As women, we pour so much of ourselves into caring for others.
We are partners, mothers, sisters, friends. We tend, we mend, we soothe, we support. We care deeply, wanting to heal the hurts of the world, to make a difference in the ways we were born to do.
But so often, our own losses go untended.
Our own hearts are left wanting.
We’re tired. Our energy frays at the edges.
Grief stacks up inside us, waiting for our attention.
Isn’t it time to let yourself be held, too?
Grief isn’t a problem to solve.
It’s love—for someone or something that mattered deeply. And that love doesn’t disappear.
In our culture, grief is often silenced, rushed, or shamed. We’re told to “get over it” and “move on,” but that comes at a great cost to our hearts.
Grief, when honoured, can expand our capacity for love, aliveness, and joy in ways we never imagined. But we’re not taught how. We’re not given the space to learn.
The Held Retreat is a place where grief is allowed to exist—fully, tenderly, and without apology.
Because most of us are grieving.
Not just death, but all kinds of loss:
A person. A relationship. A home. A job. A dream. A place.
Parts of yourself you left behind.
The earth. A pet. A future you thought was certain.
Together, we’ll name the losses that often go unnamed.
You’ll be witnessed, heard, loved, and held as you share your stories and take part in rituals that help you discover the medicine grief is waiting to offer.
We’ll make space for the full experience of being human in a world that keeps breaking our hearts.
We’ll tend to our hearts—for ourselves, for those we love, and for the world—as we reconnect with what’s sacred in this life.
We’ll make offerings of beauty to our hopes, dreams, and wishes for what comes next—for our precious hearts and precious lives.
You’re invited to come as you are.
Bring what you’ve lost.
We’ll meet you there.
Testimonial from past Held Retreat
Honouring Your Life
“When I heard about Tricia’s retreat I just felt that I needed to go. I literally felt that I was called, that I had to be there, that there’d be something there that I needed for me, for my next version of me, so I did it. I trust Tricia and she made us all feel safe. There was trust between the other women too and love and vulnerability and human connection. I’ve discovered a new version of myself and it’s truly wonderful” ~ Michelle Kneebone

Where we’ll stay
Our home away from home is Bali Eco Stay, in the lush jungle of Mt Batakaru. There’s no traffic here and no shops. This is Bali like it used to be before the tourists arrived, with only the sounds of waterfalls, birds, frogs and insects, and the breeze rustling through coconut palms. Surrounded by rice fields and terraces, local villages, pristine rainforests and ancient temples, you’ll naturally slow down, deeply relax, and connect with the rhythm of nature – and yourself.
There are so many beautiful places here to walk, sit by private waterfalls, and swim in the creek. Bali Eco Stay is a sustainable resort, and you’ll be nourished by organic food grown on site that’s lovingly harvested and prepared for each meal. The spring water is pure enough to drink, and the skin care products in your bathroom are made from the natural goodness of the land.
This is the perfect place for us to gather, to be held by the wild beauty of Bali. You’ll fall asleep each night to the sounds of the forest, safe and held.
